An Essential Guide to Owning a Chinchilla |
| Did you find the book value for money ? |
The best chinchilla book I have come across to date. |
| How would you rate the information within the book ? |
Included is the history behind how the chinchilla has became a popular pet as well as an indepth section on health issues (signs and remedies) that many may never have considered before. Including how to deal with diabetes, birthing, fungal/bacterial infections and preventing heat stroke/exhaustion. |
| How would you rate the photographs included within the book ? |
It is well put together, very informative and provides ample photographs showing the breed colours, proper housing, food items, treats, chew toys, handling techniques, vocal meanings and sexing guide with photographs. |
| How would you rate this book against other chinchilla books currently on the market today ? |
The book goes beyond the standard books out there to give accounts from real owners and veterinarians (not just commercial breeders) about issues they have come across and solutions for which they have used themselves (usually discovered from trial and error). |
| Would you recommend this book to others ? |
Everything is clear, consise and written in a language that anyone can follow. The ultimate guide for the new and experienced chinner. |
