Gestation Chart/Calendar

 

On average the gestation period for chinchillas is 111 days (although this can vary between 105-128 days) and gestation charts are generally based on this information.

The gestation chart below will help you determine the approximate birth date so you can be prepared and witness this wonderful time.

The date in the FIRST column is the 'conception date' and the date included within brackets () is the 'expected delivery date'.

The gestation period is the
time in which the foetus
develops, beginning with
fertilization and ending
with birth.

The gestation period
varies between breeds but
is commonly 111 days
from conception.

The Langiera has a gestation
period of 105 - 111 days,
the Brevicaudata 124-128
days and a Langiera bred
with a Brevicaudata
111 – 128 days.
